Registration

Registration Fee

  • The payment should be done in New Taiwan Dollar(NT$). The amounts in Japanese yen (JPY) are approximations. Participants are advised to register before July 17 (Taiwan standard time: GMT+8), 2010 to receive an early registration discount.
  • Only online credit card payment is accepted.
  • (For Student Registration) "Student" is defined as full-time student, enrolled for degree of diploma in a university or similar institution. For proof of student status, please provide a certification (e.g., a confirmation letter with signature of your professor, a copy of your student ID card, or something like that). Please e-mail the letter in PDF file to sice2010+at+nchu.edu.tw (Please replace "+at+" with "@"). Use the title "Student status proof for registration ID:xxxx" in this e-mail and replace xxxx by your assigned ID.

Additional Paper Charge

Authors can upload up to 2 papers for one full registration or 1 paper for one student registration, and must pay additional fees in excess of NT$ 3,000 (JPY 9,000) for each extra paper.

Workshop Registration

Attendees are asked to register well in advance so that sufficient materials and seating are allocated. Workshops registration can be performed on-line as part of the conference registration process, where full or student conference registration is required.

* Late or on-site registration may not guarantee materials and seating.
** NEW Workshops can be attended without the conference registration, though workshop registration should be performed via email or so in this case. This detail can be found here.

Cancellation Policy

For all applicants:

  • A cancel of registration must be requested by e-mail with the applicant ID.
  • A cancel of registration may be acceptable only within 20 days after the on-line registration.
  • An applicant who wants to make a registration change has to make a cancel once within 20 days after the on-line registration, then make a new registration again after the cancel is accepted. If it is after the deadline for advanced registration, advanced registration fee is not applied. If you are an author, please be careful about the number of final papers you have to upload. Please understand that the process of registration change may be a troublesome task after the on-line registration.
  • We can refund the registration fee only for the cancel which is accepted within 20 days after the on-line registration.

For author registration:

  • We cannot refund the registration fee for the cancel which is applied after the deadline for final submission even if it is applied within 20 days after the on-line registration.

For regular participant:

  • We cannot refund the registration fee for the cancel which is applied after the deadline for on-line registration even if it is applied within 20 days after the on-line registration.
