Welcome to SICE Annual Conference 2007 in Kagawa

General Chair It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you, all, to the SICE Annual Conference 2007 in Takamatsu. The conference is held on September 17-20, 2007 at Kagawa University, Takamatsu, Japan, sponsored by the Society of Instrumentation and Control Engineers(SICE) and supported by Kagawa Prefecture, Takamatsu City, Kagawa University and technically cosponsored by IEEE/IES, IEEE/RAS, IEEE/CSS, IEEE/SMC and The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society (ISA), The Institute of Control, Automation and Systems Engineers, also in association with IFAC Japan Council, The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, IMEKO.
Since the sponsoring society, SICE covers inter-sciences and inter-technologies, this conference includes rather broad technical fields relating instrumentation, system and control engineering from basic theoretical researches to practical engineering applications.
Takamatsu city is located in the northeast part of Shikoku island, 2 hours and a half by super express train from Osaka, 1 hour by airplane from Tokyo, and is the prefectural capital of Kagawa. There are many sightseeing places, Ritsurin Park, Tamamo Castle, etc. and delicious dishes.
I hope all of participants enjoy your stay in the city of Takamatsu and have mutual exchange of scientific/technical information at the conference.
