Venue

Chofu is a nice mid-sized city in west-side of Tokyo, Japan, with a population of 220,000. Chofu is very close to the center of Tokyo. From its convenient location, there are a lot of institutes and universities that represent Japan as JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), ENRI (Electronic Navigation Research Institute), NTSEL (National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory), NMRI (National Maritime Research Institute), NRIFD (National Research Institute of Fire and Disaster), Jikei University School of Medicine and, of course, The University of Electro-Communications.

Chofu is also a historical city. There are many sightseeing spots. JINDAIJI is one of the famous temples in Japan. You can see a buddhist statue which a work in the Nara era (The seventh century). Near JINDAIJI, there is Jindai Shokubutsu Botanical Park. In this park, you can see a lot of plant (Cherry blossoms, plum blossoms and roses).

Around JINDAIJI, you can try "JINDAIJI-SOBA", traditional Japanese buckwheat noodle in Chofu. Chofu offers you a perfect location for a great experience of Japanese institutes and a relaxing stroll in downtown before of after your congress day.
