Welcome to SICE Annual Conference 2008 in Chofu
It is a great pleasure for me to welcome you to the SICE Annual Conference 2008 in Chofu. The conference will be held on August 20-23 at the University of Electro-Communications in Chofu, Tokyo, Japan.
The conference is sponsored by THE Society of Instrumentation and Control Engineers (SICE) and supported by Chofu City, The University of Electro-Communications and technically cosponsored by IEEE/IES, IEEE/RAS, IEEE/CSS, IEEE/SMC, The International Systems and Automation Society (ISA), Institute of Control, Robotics and Systems (ICROS), also in association with China Instrument and Control Society (CIS), Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), Chinese Automatic Control Society (CACS), International measurement Confederation (IMEKO), IEEE Japan Council and IFAC NMO-Japan.
This conference covers a wide range of fields from measurement and control to system analysis and design, from theory to application and from software to hardware.

Chofu City is located in the west part of Tokyo, 45 minutes by a rapid train from Tokyo Terminal Station, 2 hours by a super express train from Narita Airport. From its convenient location, there are a lot of Institutes that represent Japan such as JAXA etc. Chofu is also a historical city with many sightseeing spots as JINDAIJI, an old temple. Chofu offers you a perfect location for a great experience of Japanese institute and a relaxing stroll in downtown before or after your congress day.
